As for the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Chairman of the Scientific Committee for the Olympiad Dr. Khaled Al-Ali, he reviewed in a statement to QNA the great efforts made by the Committee for this international scientific Olympiad, as it had the burden of preparing questions, offering exams, correcting them, giving grades and reviewing them, especially as it is necessary that the results should be ready on the day following any exam.
In this context, he praised the efforts of the Scientific Committee team, which was divided into teams for preparation, correction, review, and other tasks that contributed to overcoming difficulties, completing the results, and bringing them out in the specified time.
He said that the questions were praised from all participants, because this exam is one of the rare exams in which the question contains an overlap in the subjects of science, which makes it difficult to prepare questions.
Dr. Al-Ali praised the results achieved by the students of Qatar and their winning of gold, silver and bronze medals.
In his speech on this occasion, the President of the International Junior Science Olympiad Dr. Paris Joshi, praised the great success of the 2019 edition of the Olympiad and considered it exceptional in its scientific program, which encouraged students to highlight their best skills and insights as young scientists exchange conversation and experiences about science and build multiple partnerships in a spirit of cooperation to make this edition of the Olympiads in Qatar very fruitful compared to previous editions, appreciating in the same context the efforts made by all the committees that led to the great results that were achieved.
