(QNA) - His Excellency Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi praised the performance of students of 70 countries for the International Junior Science Olympiad in the State of Qatar, each in their own language, commending the efforts made by the Scientific Committee in developing and translating the tests.
His Excellency the Minister said in a press statement during his visit today to Qatar National Convention Centre, where the 16th International Junior Science Olympiad, hosted by the State of Qatar this year under the slogan of "Motivating today's Young Generation for the Skills of Tomorrow".
His Excellency the Minister said that holding of these tests in the State of Qatar is a pride, and appreciated the role of the organizing committee in providing logistical support and creating the environment and academic climate for students to take the tests and meet all their requirements.
Dr. Al-Hammadi also viewed the test paper and was satisfied with its performance by more than 400 students representing 70 countries.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the International Junior Science Olympiad, praised in a press statement the good preparation and organization of the tests, and appreciated the careful follow-up by the officials, especially the supervising scientific teams, and said that he found during his visit to the examination hall, that the test is clear to all students of all nationalities, wishing them all success in their performance.
Ms. Fawzia Abdulaziz Al-Khater, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for Educational Affairs, commended the organization of the testing process, and said that they were going according to set plans.
